New dates for Technology, Systems & Ships 2020: August 04 (Virtual First) New dates for Technology, Systems & Ships 2020: November 16-17 (In-Person Second)
The American Society of Naval Engineers continues to be in contact with federal, state and local authorities with respect to the health and safety concerns surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19) and its potential impact on attendance at future ASNE symposia and events. Following the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance: https://www.cdc.gov, and based upon current information, ASNE has revised TSS 2020 to start with a virtual first conference in the beginning of August. We look forward to seeing our members, sponsors and registrants virtually on 04 August 2020. Then, in November we look forward to hosting an in-person conference at The Sheraton Pentagon City Hotel (Click here for in-person TSS details). Thank you for your continued partnership and attendance!
ASNE is excited to announce that the virtual components of Technology, Systems & Ships (TSS) 2020 will occur on Microsoft Teams and will be free for all ASNE members! The event will kick off with a live session with Admiral Karl L. Schultz, Commandant of the U.S. Coast Guard. He will share his insights and updates with all attendees and there will be an opportunity to ask him questions live. In addition, ASNE will bring you updates from NAVSEA-05.
Together, the TSS 2020 programs will follow the Design, Build, Sustain pattern of 2019. The TSS agendas for the virtual and in-person event addresses both current and future Navy, Coast Guard and Marine Corps Programs with heavy emphasis on Naval Engineering. ASNE also looks to expand our Young Professional Outreach Program during both events with a particular outreach to new government and private industry employees. Beyond the shipbuilding programs, other topics such as ship modernization, weapon systems, combat systems, and C5ISR will be discussed. Given the intimate nature of the venue, TSS affords both government and industry professionals an excellent opportunity to meet with and discuss current events as well as future programs.
Virtual First (August 4, 2020):
ASNE is excited to bring you these high-impact presentations as a way to bring together the naval engineering community during these socially-distant times. We are thrilled to host these three presentations which will provide critical updates from across the naval engineering landscape.
All presentations will be broadcast using Microsoft Teams. We will email you a personalized link to the event that will allow you to participate in this virtual event using your favorite browser or in the Microsoft Teams app (if you have Teams).
