Dear Naval Future Force Expo registrants,

On behalf of the Office of Naval Research (ONR) and the entire Naval Research Enterprise (NRE), I want to thank you all for coming to the Expo last week!  We conduct these important events to meet you, exchange good ideas and expand our partner networks so critical to our innovation mission.  Thank you for coming and making it possible.

The Expo was organized around the priorities in the new Naval R&D Framework and research portfolios in the NRE Addendum.  These documents will guide our journey forward to the "Navy and Marine Corps After Next" and can be found here: https://www.onr.navy.mil/our-research/naval-research-framework

We need to keep this dialogue going. Keep in mind, technical submission of ideas can always be sent via ONR's Long Range Broad Agency Announcement: http://www.onr.navy.mil/Contracts-Grants/Funding-Opportunities.aspx

In addition, we are open to your feedback about the event.  You can reply to this note or feel free to send inputs to onrpublicaffairs@navy.mil. Our co-sponsor, the American Society of Naval Engineers (ASNE) will also be sending a post-Expo survey and we appreciate your time to give us input.

As I said in my keynote, we are looking to continue this dialogue at Fleet concentration areas.  As we accelerate what we do, the voice of the warfighter becomes even more important. I will keep you posted on what we decide.

In the meantime, we are planning to hold Framework Forums at ONR to discuss key issues in each Framework priority and technology opportunities in research portfolios. As an Expo participant, we will send you Forum announcements and registration dates as they become available.
