The American Society of Naval Engineers (ASNE) President’s Club is pleased to announce that our guest speaker for this event is Senator Jack Reed (D-RI). Senator Reed serves as Chairman of the Armed Services Seapower Subcommittee and, as such, plays a pivotal role in ensuring that our Naval forces are prepared for any action necessary to protect our national security and project force worldwide, whenever called upon. He is a graduate of West Point and served in the 82nd Airborne Division. Having served as a Member of the Rhode Island House, the U.S. House and the Senate, he has a keen understanding of the needs of the state, as well as an unparalleled grasp of the importance of Naval shipbuilding and seapower through his advocacy for General Dynamics’ Electric Boat Division.
