Wake Forest joined PEP this year and worked tenaciously to put a strong craft on the water. The three teammates able to make it to the competition operated the craft smoothly and efficiently throughout the competition. The judges were impressed by the competitor’s depth of knowledge and experience with naval engineering issues. On the water, their dependable craft included a robust hull able to carry all the weight of the batteries and competitors. The 48V battery pack was able to power the craft for miles and represents a strong baseline for continued iterations by future Wake Forest universities.
