The Women-in-Defense Liberty Chapter (WID LIB) will once again be hosting their annual (and amazing) Leadership Event on 24 Oct 2024.  This year’s theme is “Finding your WHY in the Defense Industry”, and features an amazing Keynote and panel speakers, as well as networking opportunities.  This event supports the mission of WID – supporting women in the defense industry with leadership development, mentoring, career and networking opportunities across the spectrum of occupations.
 
This year’s Keynote Speaker is Ms. Shelly O’Neill Stoneman, S.V.P for Government Affairs – Lockheed Martin.
 
Panel speakers include:
Ms. Jamie Gates, NSWCPD C70 LBES Enterprise Program Manager
Ms. Marissa Wolfe, Public Affairs Specialist, Naval Foundry and Propeller Center
Dr. Beth Deuermeyer, Director of Workforce Development, Blue Forge Alliance (BuildSubmarines.com)
 
And there will be a special guest speaker, a young female welder from WID Strategic Sponsor, Rhoads Industries, highlighting women in manufacturing and trades.
